The Wheel Specialist Cwmbran wheel experts have had a busy month

Alloy wheel refurbishment specialists The Wheel Specialist Cwmbran have had a fantastic month; … a very successful open day, the Cymraeg Scoobie Club meet and a further two new clubs joining for regular meets, along with some fantastic wheel customisations and wheel repairs.

Their open day drew a great crowd from The Scoobie Club to; James at Ti22, Kris at Intelligent Auto Electrics, Phil The Number Plate Man, Roddy of RJ Howard Conversions and of course all of the fantastic customers who made an appearance. They had a great time as did everyone who joined them, looking at all the stunning wheel refurbishments available. They also raised a fantastic £148.03 for The Sparkle Appeal, helping special children shine.

The Scoobie club meet had a great turn out, with new members joining; booking in their alloy wheels for more refurbs and taking advantage of their club discounts. More new club meets to look forward to in the new year; South Wales Honda’s and the South Wales T4/T5 club, TWS is looking forward to refurbishing and customising their cracking car and custom van wheels.

Talking of custom T5 vans; they have done a real nice set of custom rims for a beautiful T5 this month. The van is based on a Shrek theme and even has a Shrek plate with a Shrek airbrushed bonnet. Anyway back to the wheels, they are 22” wheels off a Range Rover and came into TWS in Silver. They were stripped back to bare metal and prepared as usual, then we base powder coated them in green, the inserts were then wet painted in black, when this was dry we applied a computer cut mask to each of the inserts (21 in total). Then they were wet painted in a custom “SHREK” green. Finally the masking was removed and the lacquer applied, tyres fitted and wheels put on the van. A great finish to the job.

Finally our wheel rescue of the month was a set of OZ’s these came into us like they had spent a few months in a warzone. We rescued them and the customer is over the moon, that’s one more set of classic alloys kept on the road!
