  • Why get your wheels Refurbished?

There are many reasons why our customers choose to get their alloy wheels refurbished or repaired at The Wheel Specialist. For some it is simply because it affects the appearance of their car. Whether it is from scraping the kerb when parking or noticeable corrosion, after all, who doesn’t want their car to look good? For other customers it’s to ensure they receive the best price when they trade in or sell their car privately, as damaged alloys to a potential buyer may signal a less than careful owner and raise concern about other issues the car may have.

It’s also not just about aesthetics, as repairing corrosion to the inside of your alloy wheels can stop air loss and potential damage to tyres. So really, repairing or refurbishing is a must for any owner of a car with alloy wheels.

  • What makes and models do we cater for?

At The Wheel Specialist we pride ourselves on being able to refurbish almost any make of alloy wheel, whether it is for a Roll-Royce, Range-Rover, Renault or Reliant. With over 107 makes listed, we are confident we can accommodate most requests and even if you have a very unique make or specification, then just contact us with the details and we will be able to let you know.

By completing our Instant Online Quote form, you can find out straight away from selecting your make from one of the 107 available options that we can accommodate your car and how much it will cost.

  • How long will the refurbishment take?

For the majority of our customers a standard refurbishment will be a speedy process completed within the same working day. If the wheels are made available at the start of the working day, then they can usually be collected later the same day. More bespoke finishes can be collected the following working day and 18inch diameter or larger wheels will take 48 hours to refurbish.

  • Why not just refurbish them yourself?

The Wheel Specialist offers a complete alloy wheel refurbishment process which strips back the old coating and gives a brand new complete coating which makes it longer lasting and harder wearing. This cannot possibly be achieved by you or a mobile alloy repair service given the equipment, skills and access to manufacturer’s coatings and OEM finishes that are required. At best a very short term, cosmetic improvement can be achieved and with no guarantees on the final finish, it is a big risk to take. We guarantee all our powder coating finishes for 12 months, so you are ensured of great quality and a refurbishment that will last.
